MY WHY
I knew I had to take the step. I had to take the step towards progress and do something to make a change for my students who never got a chance to have their voices heard. It was time for me to start crawling towards finding out the reason why so many students go unheard. I started crawling into the world of education by challenging my students to live up to my high expectations. Then I took my first steps walking around the building. I walked through the stories of students struggling with academics. In their footsteps, I am the trusted adult that they could turn to. Do you know what the difference between walking and marching is? Marching is just walking with purpose. My purpose is to empower students to become life-long learners. I plan to develop strong relationships with students in order to empower them to be accountable learners. Now, I am running with quality instruction and data dialogues. As a servant leader, my aim is to learn and to lead. My next step is to help others join the race.
